Project 26 is an initiative of the registered Political Action Committee Boycott Fireworks 2026 where the mission is to ban illegal fireworks before the Quarter Millennial celebrations on July 4th, 2026.
Fireworks are: Dangerous to  Humans, Bad for the  Environment, Cruel to all animals and wildlife.

Join the Movement for Fireworks-Free Celebrations

Project 26 members are invited to our Federal Holiday Events. We get together at public parks and BBQ while watching drone shows and update members on the lobbying efforts at the city, county, state, and federal levels. Contributions to Project 26 are also made to groups studying the ecological and oceanic effects fireworks have on the environment. Project 26 members can also be proud to know that your donations also go to local animal rescues as fireworks put an enormous strain on their bottom line. Orbit Fifer's Story

Orbit was rescued in April of 2023 as a 6 month old puppy. His breeders owned a farm where hunting and skeet shooting was prevalent. The sonic boom from the shotguns has traumatized him towards all sudden movements and he predictably runs scared to a safe place in fear when exposed to fireworks, Like many innocent animals he has no voice to protect him from the "bad actors" who falsely believe they're celebrating freedom when illegally setting off pyrotechnics.

The truth is that the Revolutionary War where fireworks are generally considered to have started, was supposed to be a celebration of freedom not what it has turned into current day.
